Some things are just born in you.
For Harper and Charlotte, it was jewellery. From the time they could reach their mother's dressing table, they were there — fingers tracing gold chains, holding earrings up to the light, asking "Mum, can I try this one?"
Elizabeth never said no.
She would open her jewellery box and let them explore every piece. Not because they were careful — they weren't — but because she believed that the things we love should be touched, worn, and felt. That jewellery wasn't meant to sit in a box. It was meant to be lived in.
That belief became the foundation of everything we've built.
Growing up, Harper and Charlotte made bracelets for anyone who would wear them — friends, neighbours, teachers, their mum first of all. Every piece was a little imperfect and completely full of love. They didn't know it then, but they were already building something
Years later, what started on a kitchen table moved to the garage. Then the orders kept coming. Elizabeth would stand behind them — not just as a mother, but as their biggest believer — watching her daughters turn a childhood passion into something real. Late nights, early mornings, a thousand tiny decisions.
This is where Born Gleam truly began.
We didn't set out to build a brand. We set out to make women feel something when they put on a piece of jewellery.
That feeling of standing a little taller. Of catching your own reflection and thinking — yes, that's me. Of wearing something that says everything without saying a word.
Today, Born Gleam has grown beyond anything we imagined in that garage. We have a home of our own — a space where every piece is curated with the same care we learned from our mother. And our family keeps growing too. Charlotte is expecting her first child, and we already know she'll be raiding the jewellery box before she can walk.
Even now, with everything that's changed, Charlotte still sketches new designs by hand. Harper still checks every piece before it ships. And Elizabeth still tells us when something isn't quite right. Some things don't change — and we hope they never do.
We're still that family from the garage. We still celebrate every order like it's the first. And we still believe, just like Mum always said, that jewellery is meant to be lived in.
